Big Walk uses friend lists and Join Codes, not a public matchmaking queue. Set up the host first.
Use the route overview when the group loses its next objective, then open a puzzle page only when needed.

Big Walk is built for groups of 2–12. The host owns the save and opens the world first. Friends then join through a platform friend list or a Join Code. There is crossplay, but no random matchmaking and no solo campaign.
Read the multiplayer guide →The short version
Big Walk is a cooperative adventure from House House and Panic for groups of 2–12 players. Friends explore a large island, communicate through distance-aware voice and text chat, and solve problems together.
The game supports cross-platform sessions on Windows, macOS, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. There is no single-player mode or random matchmaking, so friends join a host through their platform list or a Join Code.

Platform support, party size, saves, and joining rules come from the official FAQ or store pages.
Steam and Reddit posts help identify real symptoms. They are evidence of a problem, not automatic proof of a fix.
Voice, connection, and performance advice can change after a patch, so every guide shows when it was last checked.
